It's said in Vastu Sastra, there are some plants which may attract negative energy if we place them near main entrance. They can disturb peace and harmony of our home. We must be aware which plants should be avoided to maintain our positivity and prosperity.

Favorable plants which should be planted near the main door
Tulsi plant : According to Vastu Shastra Tulsi is the most prosperous and blessed plant for our entrance. It should be planted in east or north direction. It is considered that Tulsi removes negative energy of the house.
Money plant : It's said in Vastu Shastra, money plant is the plant which brings wealth and prosperity in our house. The only thing we must be careful is that we should not let it spread outside.
Bamboo Plant : Bamboo Plant is considered as the symbol of good luck and peace in Vastu Shastra. It is suitable to plant near the entrance in water as well as soil.
Aloe vera : It's said in Vastu Shastra that Aloe Vera is helpful to remove negative energy if it is planted near the main gate. At the same time there are many health benefits of this plant too.
Jasmine or Mogra : The fragrance of Jasmine and Mogra makes the environment of our house positive. It's also symbolized for beauty and peace in the Vastu Shastra.

Thorny plants : We must avoid thorny plants near the main door as they causes tension, quarrels and negative energy in the house. These are not favorable to plant near the main door as per Vastu principles.
Bonsai plants : We must not plant Bonsai plants near main door as they can limit our finance and economic growth as per Vastu principles.
Dry or wilted plants : Dried and Wilted plants should not be given place near main door as they bring misfortune in our house.
Big and heavy trees : According to Vastu Niyams big trees like Banyan, Peepal etc should not be given place near the main entrance. They create shade which stops flow of energy in the house.

North/North-East direction : Both of these are considered for peace and positive energy.
East direction : East attracts the energy of the sun, especially suitable for Tulsi.
Heavy or thorny plants must be avoided in the south or west direction.
